I've had a few people tell me that I should post ;) So here I am! We're in Dallas right now, the flight doesn't leave until 10:30, and it's almost 9! Our flight was moved to a different gate because of other delayed flights, but praise God that ours was not!
My first airport experience was definitely memorable! It was all good, until I talked with the lady giving me my boarding pass and she told me that there was a chance that I wouldn't be allowed to cross the boarder because I don't have a return flight booked. However, I was reassured by others that I would be allowed.
My bags went on without a problem, and then it was off to say goodbye. I hadn't cried at all saying the rest of my goodbyes, as awful as that sounds. But while I was saying goodbye to my parents and sister, I was holding back the waterworks! Everything is ok, I'll see them soon ;)
Security has been crazy! I don't do well with focusing on multiple things, people, and having other employees yelling from other directions. I've noticed that I don't breathe very much during this time!
On the plane, it was ok! I had an empty seat next to me, and I'm very thankful that my first flight was only a couple of hours. I had a window seat, so that's good! However, the descent was not good to me. I nearly passed out, but that could've been a lack of food and water. After landing, we got some dinner and prepared ourselves for a nice long 7 hour layover. The time change is rough, but it'll get better. Our next flight boards in about 25 minutes, and we'll get some sleep then! Thank you to everyone who has checked up on me and have expressed that you are praying! It means so much! The next time I post, I'll be in Peru!
